True fact. The best people I’ve worked alongside worked on the ground first. As an operator, they had much more empathy to the team on the ground after they took seats in a machine. Those guys on the ground are as important as an operator in our business. It takes an entire team to be successful. So the next time you (as an operator) see someone on the ground struggling in the blistering heat, how about you put down your cold drink and step outside the air conditioned cab and lend a brother a hand 😜. You may have earned an ally the next time your tracks are packed in mud. Matt.
Most good operators were once good laborers. We learned the ground before the machines. You can't be the best if you don't know the entire scope of your work.
