A little late on this post.

The shower walls and bathroom floor were tiled with Ubatuba Granite. In my opinion, nothing quite beats the appearance and timeless style of natural stone.

Do you have any water staining or damage from the rain over the last couple of weeks?

The damage might be worse than it appears. On first glance, the one appeared to only have a water damaged baseboard. Unfortunately, drywall can soak up water, up to 2' through capillary action.

If this is something you have seen, dont wait until mold growth starts affecting your health.

Sprayed last week now getting installed.

If any contractors or DIY'ers are interested in some spray finished baseboards feel free to reach out.

The first coat of paint is always the most difficult. Primer soaks up paint like a sponge and prevents proper levelling of the top coat.

Working with sprayed boards results in exceptional end results since the top coat can self level and minimize brush or roller marks.

If you own a house pre-1980s, missing insulation on the bottom half is very common.

I know alot of people prefer new builds for the assumption that "its new, its not going to have issues". Unfortunately that's not accurate.

This is floor drain from a house built within the last 10 years. The water running is the condensate from the furnace/air conditioner. Normally the condensate is supposed to drain in the pipe (floor drain), but in this case it was draining to underneath the slab of the house since the floor drain wasnt finished.

This creates more than one issue, but the main one, that lead to discovery was, the smell of sewer gas. Since the condensate was not properly draining the water in the trap evaporated and allowed sewer gas to enter the house.

If you were getting new baseboards installed and/or painted, would you want your floors protected throughout the process...
