Heavy Duty Mechanic Position!
For Sherwood Park based Highway Paving/ Construction Company Looking for a ticketed/experienced heavy-duty mechanic. Candidates must be self-motivated and capable in all aspects of trouble shooting & repair of equipment failures in the field or shop environment including control of parts ordering and inventory.
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with our company, you’ll be performing preventative maintenance and any required repairs on equipment. This will include carrying out diagnostic tests and repairs to a variety of makes and models of equipment, trucks, and trailers, using modern maintenance practices. This position is in a company shop/or in a field environment using our mechanic truck.
The work is year-round and consistent of two components: a. SUMMER (6 Months) The job involves travel throughout Alberta providing on-site mechanical support for paving equipment both mobile and stationary as well as small truck fleet. The summer months are the busy time of year and require regular weekend work with scheduled time off. (e.g. long weekends)
b. WINTER (6 Months) Is based in Sherwood Park company shop carrying out annual preventative maintenance and repair of company equipment. Typically, there is no overtime or weekend requirement in winter months.
