During a recent preventive maintenance call, the high limit switch was found tripping repeatedly. After thorough troubleshooting, it was determined that the switch itself was defective, causing premature trips well below its designed temperature threshold.

The faulty component was replaced with a new high limit switch, restoring proper operation and ensuring the furnace cycles safely within manufacturer specifications.

Routine inspections like this help prevent unnecessary shutdowns and maintain system reliability throughout the heating season.
