My term as President of the regulator of engineering practice in Ontario concluded a the May 2021 AGM. It was an honour to help protect public wellbeing especially during such a devasting and historical pandemic year.

I have fond memories of Premier Bill Davis. I was an Ontario Legislative Page during the term of his government. I was supported by his Minister of Education, Hon/Dr Bette Stephenson. It was my first introduction to politics and public policy while I was in grade 8. My sincere condolences to his family on his passing this morning.

Ontarians picked him as their 18th premier when he was just 41 years old. Today, he turns 90 — and he’s still going strong.

There is an election happening right now in Ontario. It is to select the next governing board for engineers.
