With temperatures dropping so low, a few things to remember:
Lower the humidity level in the house to avoid too much condensate to form and freeze on the windows and doors
Keep the weather strip on the doors clean of ice and dry to prevent the door from freezing.
Make sure you use some water , to prevent the pipe freezing, especially if you live in an older house. If you see a drop in water pressure call someone for help.
Check the outside intake and exhaust pipes to your water heater, it is common for ice to form on the inside of it and block the air intake. Just put your hand in and check for blockages.
Have an emergency plan when in the house or in the car.
Stay warm and enjoy the extra family time. .
