The photo above is a glimpse of the condition of the Amazon rainforest. It’s completely engulfed in flames. Yes it was trending on social media for all of a week but you hardly hear anything about it now. the Amazon generates 20% of the earths oxygen supply and it’s currently burning to the ground. That’s staggering!!!

Seeing this really made us take a look into our core principles. We are deeply saddened as to what is happening right now to our earths beautiful greenery. As a construction company, we understand we create a fairly large carbon footprint. So, we want to do our part in reducing that carbon footprint as best we can.

Elite Custom Contracting is currently in the process of going completely paperless by the end of the year! All of our estimates will be sent electronically, any sketches/note taking will be done on a product called Remarkable which is an electronic notepad and we will be switching all of our business cards to a biodegradable plastics. Also, we want to launch an organization or partner with a current organization to plant trees all around the world! If you or someone you know is part of an organization that can help us along this process please reach out to us!!

Corporate social responsibility is something we take great pride in and it’s small changes like these that can make an impact and inspire others to do the same!! SO WE CHALLENGE YOU. This was a quick and easy deck we completed earlier in the spring. Added a very nice touch for this clients lakeside outbuilding that has since recently been renovated into a 4 season sleeping quarters.

Apologies for the lack of before picture but here is a quick snapshot of a load bearing wall we took out in Bowmanville yesterday! We got it done quick for the client, non invasive and left the place spotless as if no one was even there. 🚨CONTRACTOR NIGHTMARE 🚨 this lovely couple hired a contractor to build their deck they had spent years saving for. It was to be the centre point of their back yard. Unfortunately for them, this gentleman was in way over his head. Justin and Jacqueline reached out to us to see if we can salvage the damage that had been done. It was definitely a challenging feat but we managed to pull everything together for them just in time for their 10th wedding anniversary!! Thank you and for welcoming us into your home and being such great clients to work for!

Well, we just wrapped up in garden hill after completing this beautiful stamped concrete job. Extremely fun project to do and it was an absolute slice working with these clients🤘🏼 looking forward to doing more of these projects to finish off what little time we have left of summer, then it’s full tilt on some interior jobs we have lined up for this winter.

One of our waterproofing jobs done this past summer. This was a fun gig but also a bit of a pain in the @$$. Unfortunately we had quite a bit of water breach our trench coming from under the footing. Made it really tough for us to keep the footing dry to apply our product.

We used a product GC -250 and I was really happy with how well the product adhered to the foundation.
What product do you contractors use when waterproofing foundations? What worked and what didn’t? I want to hear your experience.
