to the Everlasting Tree School. Our in-house team led design, coordination, fabrication, and installation, working closely with Everlasting Tree School leadership and Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe educators to integrate the new modular addition with the existing school.

✔️ On-site installation completed in just 3 weeks, followed by a balance of site connections and finishes.

ANC's prefabricated building system enabled a precise, responsive, and efficient approach to a project with a tight timeline, during the summer months, while the school was closed. Site work began in June, with installation and occupancy complete at the beginning of September, just in time for the school year to begin. The Everlasting Tree School showcases efficiency without compromising quality or functionality and was awarded the Best Permanent Modular Institutional Build in the World in 2023.

Each space has been thoughtfully designed to support the day-to-day needs of the workforce, balancing functionality, durability, and comfort within a highly regulated environment.

From efficient circulation and robust finishes to practical amenities that support long shifts on site, these designs reflect how modular construction can deliver purpose-built spaces without compromising quality or performance.

We’ve had something in the works for a while now, and we’re excited to share it. ANC is delivering three new modular buildings at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station for Ontario Power Generation, in partnership with Bird Construction Inc. And we just shipped out the first mod!

The projects are now moving into full-scale ex*****on through our Design, Fabricate, and Deliver for Assembly approach. This is a fully integrated process where we design each building, fabricate nearly all components off-site, and then deliver them ready for efficient on-site assembly. One building is currently in fabrication, with the other two starting in the near future.

Across all three buildings, nearly 80 unique components will be fabricated and shipped to site, forming purpose-built facilities to support the influx of workers for OPG’s upcoming refurbishment of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station.

The first, a Common Service Building, has progressed through design and is entering fabrication, featuring locker facilities, a cafeteria, and radiation monitoring equipment. The other two buildings will each serve distinct operational functions supporting the refurbishment effort.

It’s a strong example of how modular construction can be adapted to meet complex, highly regulated requirements, and we’re glad to be collaborating with a world-class general contractor and one of Ontario’s largest energy providers to bring it to life.

A major milestone on the move

ANC has officially shipped its largest module to date for NAV CANADA’s Kingston Digital Facility, bringing Canada’s first modular-built digital air traffic facility one step closer to reality.

This shipment marks an important stage in a custom modular build that combines standard modular construction with specially designed components to meet the facility’s unique layout and operational needs.

We’re proud to see modular construction recognized as a practical solution for meeting the growing demand for age-friendly housing in Waterloo Region.

The City of Waterloo ’s newly approved modular housing project for older adults highlights how off-site construction can deliver accessible, affordable homes while reducing disruption in established neighbourhoods.

Over the next several months, our design team will be focused on developing a scalable modular design that can be adapted for other communities with similar needs.

As quoted in Waterloo Region Record, our Director of Pursuits and Projects, Kevin Stewart, notes that modular homes use the same materials and have the same lifespan as traditionally built housing, with the added advantage of efficiency. By working on foundations and building modules simultaneously, construction timelines are shortened, minimizing disruption for nearby residents, making modular construction particularly well-suited for infill projects like this one.

The development will feature 10 fully finished studio apartments, including 2 fully accessible units designed for seniors with mobility challenges, offering a long-term, age-friendly housing solution for the Region.

This approach reflects a broader shift toward innovative delivery methods that respond to real community needs, providing flexibility, accessibility, and long-term value as residents’ needs evolve.

ANC is proud to be featured in Daily Commercial News for our work on the Canadian Helen Keller Centre in Toronto. Our six-storey, 56-unit modular apartment and training facility is designed to meet the needs of Toronto’s deaf-blind community.

Modules were built in our factory while site preparation and steel podium installation happened simultaneously, creating a seamless, coordinated build.

The result is high-quality, accessible, and supportive housing, demonstrating how modular construction can deliver innovative and efficient solutions for complex projects.
