Refrigeration Apprentice Wanted: Nu-Star Heating and Cooling Ltd is a well-established company in the Vancouver Island market and we are expanding our service department. We are looking for applicants with a positive attitude who are looking for a career in the refrigeration business. Starting a refrigeration apprenticeship and ultimately receive a refrigeration ticket.
Applicants need to be mechanically inclined, self-starter, self-motivated, organized, a quick learner and work well with people. In the apprentice role you will be trained in the fundamentals of heating and cooling, annual services, repairs and installations. We are offering competitive wages, extended dental and medical benefits and an opportunity for advancement in a friendly work environment. Experience is preferred, however, we will train the right person. Completion of the Pre-Apprenticeship course is required, as well as, a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract.

Nu-Star Heating and Cooling Ltd is locally owned on Central Vancouver Island who provides the installation, maintenance and service for residential heating and cooling products with a specialty towards heat pumps. Our growth is fueled by building a team of Outside Sales Representatives who educate the homeowner and encourage them to use our installation services.
The candidate needs to be self motivated and have the ability to work without supervision, have strong organizational skills, learn quickly, and enjoy working well with people in a team environment.

They are responsible for the promotion and sale of our products and services to grow profitability and are encouraged to develop strategies to gain further market share.

The primary focus is to ensure personal monthly and annual sales targets are achieved and exceeded by utilizing new business development and sales skills.

Responsibilites' are:
-Initiate outbound calls to generate new leads
-Participation in trade shows
-Meet with customers/prospects in their homes or in office
-Creating and updating customer quotes
-Customer satisfaction follow ups

Earn up to 70+k per year. We offer base hourly rate with commission and potential for extended health and dental benefits after probationary period. Experience is preferred.
Vehicle and valid driver’s license is required.

Nu-Star Heating and Cooling Ltd is a locally owned HVAC company on Central Vancouver Island, located in Nanaimo. We provide installation, maintenance and service for residential heating and cooling products with a specialty towards heat pumps.
Currently, we are seeking a dedicated Service Co-ordinator to join our team. The successful candidate with be responsible for providing excellent customer service and some administrative duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Answer incoming calls
-Provide excellent customer service
- Manage emails for service/install related jobs
-Working together with Maintenance Co-ordinator to schedule technicians for service and installations
-Enter work orders, process payments/collect payments for work completed and close orders
-Order parts and set schedule for repairs
-Order equipment for new installations
-Manage and order truck stock
- Process gas permits when required
-Filing and general office duties

Attributes:

-Experience in customer service
-Extremely well organized
-Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
-Honest and straightforward, team player
-Positive attitude
-Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

The rate for this position will based on experience of the successful candidate.
