When forms aren’t scraped clean, every flaw transfers straight into the concrete. It’s basically a mold—so whatever’s on it becomes the surface.

Most people don’t realize how much is holding a concrete wall together before it’s poured.
These are form ties-
Without them, the forms would fail under concrete pressure.
