We're excited to be back in Tech Alley at COVE Demo Day 2026!

Last year, we put DataXplorer™ on the water in Halifax Harbour. This year, we're bringing that same mission capability to the booth with live demonstrations of XplorerView™, our browser based platform for monitoring and managing persistent maritime operations.

Stop by to see how operators can track assets, monitor activity, and gain real time awareness from anywhere in the world. While DataXplorer™ won't be on the water this year, enjoy this video of last year's demonstration that offers a glimpse of the capability behind our DX Protect solution for Maritime Domain Awareness.

Will you be at COVE Demo Day? Come visit us in Tech Alley and see what's new.

Today, on World Ocean Day, we reaffirm our commitment to a future where ocean monitoring is both effective and sustainable.

The ocean connects us all, supporting biodiversity, regulating our climate, and sustaining communities around the world. Protecting it starts with understanding it, and understanding it requires persistent, accessible, and environmentally responsible data collection.

At Open Ocean Robotics, our mission is to help better understand and protect our oceans through zero-emission autonomous technology. Every mission contributes to a growing body of knowledge while reducing the environmental footprint traditionally associated with ocean operations.

As we reflect on World Ocean Day, we're proud to share the impact our technology has delivered to date, including 4843 tonnes of GHG emissions avoided, 5M+ hectares of MPAs patrolled, and 10K+ operational hours with 20+ DataXplorer USVs made.

These metrics represent more than numbers. They represent a commitment to advancing ocean intelligence while preserving the very environments we seek to understand.

Together, we can build a future where innovation and stewardship go hand in hand.

That’s a wrap on CANSEC 2026.

Last week our team had the opportunity to connect with defence and security leaders from across Canada and beyond, sharing how autonomous, zero-emission USVs can support persistent maritime awareness and security operations.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Booth 4110 to see the DataXplorer™ USV and explore live mission operations through XplorerView™. The conversations, questions, and ideas shared throughout the event made for an incredibly valuable few days.

We look forward to reconnecting with many of you in the coming weeks and continuing the conversation around the future of Canadian maritime innovation.

Last month, Open Ocean Robotics was proud to participate in the NOMAD Citizen Demonstration in Victoria, hosted by the Royal Canadian Navy's Advanced Naval Capabilities Unit (ANCU) to showcase Canada’s rapidly growing ocean technology sector to defence stakeholders and decision makers.

CEO and Co-founder Julie Angus presented recent projects demonstrating how autonomous, zero-emission USVs can support maritime awareness and security operations across Canadian waters.

On the water, USV Operations Technician Sebastian Deggan delivered a live demonstration of a DataXplorer™ USV operating just meters from the event space, giving attendees a firsthand look at autonomous operations in real time. Through our XplorerView™ portal, guests were able to follow live mission data feeds detect, track, and identify targets of interest from multiple sensor systems, including Enhanced Horizon™, Underwater Listener™, and onboard radar.

Events like NOMAD highlight the growing role Canadian innovation can play in helping detect, monitor, and protect our waters.

The future of maritime security is autonomous, persistent, and made in Canada.
