Success at Biocontrol & Biostimulants LATAM 2026🌿
Dr. Heidi Widmer (Andermatt Biocontrol Suisse Global Product Manager) and Carlos Gajardoni (Andermatt Brazil CEO), represented Andermatt at Biocontrol & Biostimulants LATAM 2026 in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil.
Heidi was selected to present her paper, “How baculoviruses can contribute to resistance management of insecticides,” highlighting the important role of baculovirus technologies in integrated pest management, resistance management and residue-sensitive production.
The event brought together more than 400 international attendees from over 20 countries, including regulators, researchers, manufacturers and senior decision-makers from across the biopesticide, biostimulant and biofertilizer sectors - as well as Andermatt Brazil CEO, Carlos Gajardoni.
Feedback from the event's discussions, including reflections shared by a leading biologicals industry expert have reinforced that biological solutions are keeping momentum in Latin America. Key themes included the need for clear value propositions, robust supporting data and practical, grower-focused application strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
The event also highlighted the pace of innovation across new biological technologies and companies, as well as the importance of differentiation, collaboration and credible science in a rapidly expanding market.
