*Happy International Labour Day!*
Labour Day, celebrated every *1st of May*, is a special day to honour workers and the value of work. It began over 100 years ago when workers in the USA protested for fair treatment especially the right to an 8-hour workday.
A protest in Chicago turned violent and some people lost their lives, but their courage led to better working conditions worldwide.
Today, Labour Day reminds us that all work matters whether in offices, farms, markets or homes. It’s a call for fairness, dignity and rest for every worker.
As young adults, we must value hard work, speak up for justice and remember that work is not just about making money; it’s part of our purpose.
In God’s eyes, work is good when done with love, excellence and honesty.
