It is installed at the bottom of the tundish as part of the channel system for molten steel to flow from the tundish to the crystallizer during the continuous casting process. Structure and design ⚙️
Tundish slide gate plate usually includes the following main parts:

Fixed plate: fixed at the bottom of the tundish 🔒
Sliding plate: movable part, which controls the opening of the steel outlet by sliding ↔️
