Sinopec put into operation on Feb. 15 China's first integrated energy service station newly equipped with methanol-to-hydrogen producing and refueling facility in Dalian, Liaoning province. The service station, upgraded from Shenggang Integrated Energy Service Station operated by Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales Company, is able to produce 1,000 kg of hydrogen each day with a high purity of 99.999%. The in-station hydrogen facility is featured with small footprint, short construction period as well as zero discharge of solid, liquid and gaseous wastes.
Compared with traditional hydrogen refueling stations, the station has lowered operational cost by at least 20%. It will serve as a model of low-cost hydrogen refueling station and pioneer in China's hydrogen industry.
