My name is Shi Mingri, a shift supervisor at Duyen Hai II high-efficiency coal-fired power project in Vietnam. 🌏
From a newcomer to independently monitoring operations and making operational decisions, I have grown through Huadian’s training, technical exchanges and hands-on practice. Learning both Chinese and Vietnamese has also helped me overcome language barriers. China Huadian has given me opportunities to grow, with my team supporting me every step of the way.

My name is Yang Jiejun. When I first arrived in Indonesia, my biggest focus was to get familiar with the project and do my job well. 🌏
Later, through activities such as China-Indonesia Energy Forum and overseas project communications, I gradually realized that a power plant connects more than energy—it also connects people from different countries and cultural backgrounds.
From adapting to overseas work to actively sharing the story of China Huadian’s overseas projects, every exchange and collaboration has helped me broaden my perspective and embrace different cultures with passion. A paving tile can bring a new change to a school campus. 🌱
Recently, SDN16 Primary School in Muara Enim Regency, Indonesia, welcomed the completion of an environmental public welfare project implemented by Huadian Bukit Asam. Using power plant ash to produce eco-friendly paving tiles, the project improved the school’s playground, roads and public spaces.
In the past, muddy paths on rainy days and dust on sunny days brought challenges to students’ daily activities. Today, more than 200 teachers and students have a safer, more convenient and improved campus environment. 🏫
Small paving tiles have transformed the school space and built a warm connection between an overseas project and the local community through shared development. 🤝

From not knowing how to write the Chinese characters for “hydropower” to conducting inspections independently and describing equipment conditions in Chinese, Panna, a Cambodian employee at the Lower Stung Russei Chrum Hydropower Project, has written his own story of growth. 💛
After joining the project following university graduation, Panna was once unfamiliar with Chinese operating interfaces and technical terms. He later joined the “Chinese language + hydropower skills” training program and, with continuous learning and improvement, earned the opportunity to study and exchange in China.
After returning to the project, Panna volunteered to mentor newly recruited Cambodian colleagues, helping others grow just as he was once supported. 🤝

A delegation from the Confucius Institute recently visited China Huadian’s Bali Power Plant in Indonesia. Through discussions and tours of the central control room and production facilities, both sides exchanged ideas on language learning, cultural engagement and modern power operations. 🤝
