Zhongwei Remote Sensing Satellite Calibration Field Launch Ceremony

December 16th, 2020, the 2020 The launch ceremony of Zhongwei Remote Sensing Satellite Calibration Field took place in Star Hotel in Zhongwei city.

Zhongwei Remoting Sensing Satellite Calibration Field adopts an automated working model, with reflection type moving point light source target, spaceborne synthetic aperture active radar calibrator, automatic angle reflector, and spaceborne laser geometric calibrator, capable of calibration and testing of optics, synthetic aperture radar and laser satellite, while keeping a low cost, high reliability and multi-functionality. Multiple typical natural scenarios and manual objectives can match well under the calibration system. The field also has an integrated multi-layered testing system that centralizes around spaceflight testing, available for strict flighttesting of visible light, near-infrared, infrared, laser radar and synthetic aperture radar, high-frequency radiometric/geometric calibration of in-orbit satellite, payload testing and product testing. It is the first calibration and testing field for both remoting sensing satellite and non-imaging altimetry satellite.

It is fair to say that after more applications and improvement of technologies, Zhongwei Remoting Sensing Satellite Calibration Field will be an integral part of the international community of this industry, making valuable contributions to the economy and space exploration.

Successful Maiden Launch of CZ-8! With TT&C Service from SATHD

12:37, December 22nd, 2020, Beijing time, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation released a new rocket – Chang Zheng-8 – for commercial use, which was launched successfully at Wenchang Space Launch Center. SATHD provide TT&C services to Tianqi 8 of the Guodian Gaoke “Tianqi IoT Constellation” and Zhixing 1A developed by Chinese Smart Satellite Technology.

My team and I have been working on commercial aerospace since 2016. At that time, our team thought that apart from “the huge business” like satellites manufacturing and rocket launching, satellites TT&C business could also be a good opportunity, as it is a rigid need for satellite operators. Certainly, there are many difficulties in this sector. But when these difficulties are resolved, it will be an opportunity for us.
Since the company’s establishment, we have served more than 30 satellites, and the customer's praise rate is 100%. We have also solved many problems about satellites, and even participated in the rescue and troubleshooting of some satellites. TT&C are not the same as the manufacture of satellites and rockets. Many people think that TT&C are relatively easy compared to satellites manufacturing and rockets, but in fact it is also difficult.
Satellites TT&C is a systematic project, and none of the steps are allowed to go wrong. We have been maintaining a high quality of services and our customers include many commercial aerospace enterprises and application companies.
Satellites TT&C is to solve the communication between the earth and the satellites. Satelliteherd wants to make the satellite more convenient to use. In the future, we will make satellites easier to use, with reduced costs and more applications. This is the purpose we have always been upholding.
Satelliteherd hopes that through our service we could help satellite application companies to find the satellites data they need more conveniently, to match products with customer needs, and also help satellite operators operate their satellites efficiently. In this way, through the platform we build, we can promote the development of the entire industry from both ends of the product and the demand.

The construction of commercial remote sensing satellite calibration site located in Ningxia Province, China has started on April, 12th. Due to the -2019 outbreak, the original plan of construction was delayed, but fortunately as the situation improves, SatHD subsidiary is able to start the construction now. According to the site manager, the land leveling will be finished by the end of the month soon, and the calibration equipment can be installed next month. The site is expected to be inaugurated in September.

The calibration site project was initiated by SatHD in cooperation with Wuhan University. The planned area is over 20 square kilometres. The site will provide the calibration capacity for commercial optic, SAR, and laser satellites. The site will be operated automatically with high accuracy, stable reliability and low cost.

Luojia 1, the first of a 60-80 Earth observation satellite constellation, was launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on June 2nd, with Satelliteherd tracking it from its Jinghe ground station!
