In Chongqing, BK Energy undertook a major shale gas fracturing project where temperatures soared above 40°C, while regional power restrictions threatened to slow operations.
Instead of compromising, we adapted.
By deploying the region’s largest shale gas onsite power generation system and implementing a hybrid energy model combining grid power, natural gas, and diesel backup, we ensured stable, reliable, and lower-carbon operations throughout the project.

Delivering Efficiency Under Extreme Conditions

In 2024, BK Energy successfully executed a coalbed methane fracturing project in Xinjiang under extreme desert conditions, where temperatures reached 40°C and water resources were severely limited.

Through advanced planning, optimized resource allocation, and the deployment of dual perforation crews, the project maintained high operational efficiency despite environmental challenges.

57 fracturing stages completed in just 18 days
Average of 3.12 stages per day across the full cycle

Client Requirements：To promote the secondary development and continuous expansion of mature blocks through the exploration and development of this well.

Our Solution：Adopted an integrated geology-engineering approach. Identified high-permeability fault-fracture zones around faults as geological sweet spots; achieved precise control of large 3D well trajectories and loss prevention as engineering sweet spots.

Core Project Achievements：A high-yield industrial gas flow of 126,200 m³/day was successfully tested, providing valuable experience for the secondary development of mature oil and gas fields.

At 3:00 PM on March 27, BK Energy’s first CCUS project in Xinjiang—the PetroChina Xinjiang Oilfield Block 8 CCUS Surface Injection Technical Service Project—officially commenced operations. The well is a liquid CO₂ injection well with a designed daily injection rate of 60 tons, equivalent to planting approximately 560 trees per day based on domestic CCUS project benchmarks.
The project launch marks a solid step forward for BK Energy in the carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) sector. The company will continue to provide high-quality technical services to support low-carbon oil and gas development for its clients.
