Every ship operator knows the pain of marine organism attachment – blocked strainers, clogged coolers, reduced heat exchange efficiency, and the costly manual cleaning cycles that follow.
HANDA’s solution combines mechanical filtration with active electrochemical anti-fouling in a single, compact unit:
🔹 Mechanical barrier:​ 316L stainless steel precision filter basket captures seaweed, shells, gravel and other solid impurities – keeping downstream pipelines clean.
🔹 Active protection:​ Copper-aluminum alloy electrodes, energized by low-voltage DC (12V, 0.1–2A adjustable), continuously ionize seawater to release Cu²⁺ and Al³⁺ ions. These ions spread throughout the sea chest and piping, preventing barnacle, algae and shellfish adhesion while also slowing electrochemical corrosion of steel pipes.
🔹 Built for marine duty:​ Mud box IP68, control box IP44; CS/HDG body; seasonal current adjustment standard (summer 0.3A, winter 0.1A); fault alarm with remote signal output; designed per CB/T 497-2015 and IMO MEPC.1/Circ.622.
