This represents the automated flipping and transfer stage within our precision cold-drawn seamless steel pipe production line. The glossy black pipes visible in the video are the finished precision cold-drawn products, while the rotating mechanical arm beneath them is known as the flipping and sorting mechanism.
Core Functions
1. Primary Role: Automated Unloading, Stacking, and Collection of Finished Pipes
The steel pipes shown here have completed the entire processing sequence—including cold drawing, straightening, and precision cutting to length—and are now finished products ready for dispatch.
This rotating motion serves to smoothly flip and transfer individual pipes—freshly processed on the production line—onto the finished-goods racks below, where they are stacked neatly. This process replaces manual handling, enabling fully automated, continuous production.
2. Auxiliary Role: 360° Rotational Self-Inspection / Uniform Surface Treatment
By causing the entire steel pipe to rotate on its axis, the system facilitates:
Comprehensive inspection of the pipe's surface for defects such as scratches, cracks, or pitting;
Uniform application of anti-rust oil and phosphating films across the pipe's surface;
Expulsion and removal of internal impurities, such as mill scale and metal shavings, from the pipe's interior.
3. Inter-Process Flow: Transitioning Between Processing Stations
The system transfers pipes from the straightening and finishing stations to the unloading, packaging, and warehousing stations. This ensures the entire production line operates continuously and automatically, eliminating the need for manual back-and-forth transport.
