๐ฏ๏ธ Seasonal Fluff & Dust Incoming โ How to Keep Your Running Smoothly? ๐ No worries. TEYU engineers share practical tips: ๐ก
1โฃ. Dust Cleaning
During AprilโMay, it is recommended to clean the dust filter and condenser once a day.
โจSteps:
1) Turn off the chiller power.
2) Remove the dust filter. Use an air gun to blow it clean from the inside out. If fluff or dust is tightly stuck, gently loosen it first with a soft brush.
3) Clean the condenser: keep about 15 cm between the air gun nozzle and the fins. Blow vertically from the inside toward the outside.
*Note:
Do not rinse with water. Wet fluff and dust can stick to the mesh and become harder to remove. If heavy dust buildup is not handled in time, it may trigger high-temperature alarms and cause downtime.
2โฃ. Proper Chiller Placement
Maintaining proper spacing and avoiding poor environments can reduce maintenance workload in the long run.
1) Distance from obstacles
Low-power chiller models:
โช๏ธ At least 1.5 m above the top air outlet
โช๏ธ At least 1 m from side air inlets to obstacles
High-power chiller models:
โช๏ธ At least 3.5 m above the top air outlet
โช๏ธ At least 1 m from side air inlets
Insufficient spacing may cause hot air recirculation and reduce cooling efficiency.
2) Environmental requirements
Avoid installing the chiller in areas with: corrosive gases, flammable gases, heavy dust, oil mist, conductive particles, high temperature and humidity, strong magnetic fields, or direct sunlight.
3) Placement method
โญ๏ธ Correct: Place on a flat surface with sufficient space around for ventilation (refer to the manual).
โ Incorrect: Suspended placement, close to heat sources, attic spaces, confined rooms, or direct sun exposure.
Spending just a few minutes each day cleaning the filter and condenser, combined with proper installation, can significantly reduce chiller failure rates during April and May and help ensure stable production.
