Choosing the right hardness for your foam, rubber, or plastic product is critical to performance and user experience. Here's a quick reference to help you get it right:

Which scale should you use?
▶️ Shore 00 → Foams & sponges. Ultra-soft to soft. Ideal for cushioning, padding, comfort layers, and ergonomic applications where gentle compression is key.
▶️Shore A → Solid rubber. Soft to hard. The most common scale for seals, gaskets, O-rings, grips, soles, and industrial rubber parts that require flexibility combined with resilience.
▶️Shore D → Plastics. Medium hard to extra hard. Used for rigid plastic components, structural housings, hard cases, and engineering parts that demand high stiffness and impact resistance.
