Guanidinoacetic acid, also known as Glycocyamine or N-Amidinoglycine, is an amino acid analog/glycine derivative. It is a naturally occurring precursor of creatine in vertebrates and plays a crucial role in creatine biosynthesis. Meanwhile, it is also a commonly used nutritional feed additive, food additive, and organic synthesis intermediate.
Core Application Direction
1. Improving Body Shape and Boosting Lean Meat Percentage: It drives energy transfer to muscle tissue, and notably optimizes the body shape of lean-type pigs and cattle, making their backs broader, buttocks plump and firm, as well as gluteal, dorsal and leg muscles thicker. The lean meat percentage can be increased by 5%-10%, while the carcass yield rate rises by 8%.
Promoting Growth and Reducing Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR): As a stable, highly absorbable precursor of creatine, it directs more energy toward muscle synthesis. The daily weight gain of livestock and poultry can be increased by over 7%, and the growth rate of fish and shrimp by more than 8%. When applied to pigs in the 50-100kg stage, the FCR is reduced by 0.2, the fattening period is shortened by 7-10 days for early slaughter, and each pig can save more than 15kg of feed; for fattening cattle, the daily weight gain is increased by 20%-25%, the FCR is reduced by 15%-18% during the period from 400kg to slaughter, slaughter is advanced by 1-2 months, and 10%-15% of feed is saved per cattle.
Optimizing Feed Formulation: It can partially replace animal-derived proteins such as fish meal and meat-and-bone meal, is compatible with pure plant protein diets, and promotes the optimization of protein synthesis pathways.
Enhancing Meat Quality and Anti-stress Capacity: Supplementing with creatine can reduce mitochondrial free radical production, improve meat color and muscle quality, accelerate ATP synthesis, alleviate heat stress in animals during transportation and group transfer, and reduce the occurrence of PSE meat (Pale, Soft, Exudative meat).
Improving Reproductive Performance of Breeding Pigs: It provides sufficient energy for the go**ds of breeding pigs, increasing the quantity and motility of s***m in semen.
Protecting Organism Health: It can raise the serum total protein content of fattening pigs, lower the levels of serum urea nitrogen, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST), which helps protect liver and kidney tissue functions and promotes protein synthesis and metabolism.
