Media Focus on the Year | Official Media: "Made in Taizhou" Joins Hands with "Made in Taizhou"—Strong!
Recently, the *Taizhou Daily* and the Wangchao client published in-depth reports on ERA's contribution to the high-quality development of Taizhou's shipbuilding industry. Both the "Green Oasis" and "Sea Eagle Jiako" vessels are equipped with ERA marine piping systems, demonstrating how "Made in Taizhou" is supporting "Made in Taizhou." Furthermore, over a hundred mainstream media outlets, including China Daily, Global Times, and China.com, provided simultaneous commentary.
"Made in Taizhou" Supports "Made in Taizhou"
"Both the 'Green Oasis' and the 'Sea Eagle Jiako' use our products," said a representative from ERA Corporation on May 15th, speaking with pride about the application of ERA piping systems.
"This year has seen a string of successes for Taizhou's shipbuilding industry: In February, the 115,000-ton 'OASIS,' setting a new global record for the largest ship launched with airbags, successfully set sail from Taizhou Port. This is also the largest ship built in Taizhou. In May, the 'Haiying Jiako,' China's first 3,500-ton oceanographic research vessel fully funded, built, and operated by private capital, was successfully launched in Wenling, filling a gap in my country's private sector-led construction of high-end oceanographic research vessels and marking a significant achievement in the field of deep-sea professional scientific research."
Both of these highly anticipated "maritime heavyweights" utilize the same Taizhou-based company—ERA Group—for their marine pipeline systems. This is not accidental, but rather a testament to ERA Group's strong product capabilities. As early as 2023, ERA's marine pipeline products passed the audit of the China Classification Society and obtained official certification, signifying that its quality management, production processes, and product quality in the marine pipeline field have reached the top level in the industry.
The "Oasis" is 249.9 meters long, 44 meters wide, and 21.5 meters deep, allowing it to navigate unrestricted international waterways. The harsh marine environment—characterized by high humidity, high salt spray, large temperature differences, and ship vibrations—places extremely high demands on its piping system. ERA marine PE-RTⅡ piping products are used in the ship's hot and cold water circulation system, operating stably within a temperature range of -40℃ to 95℃. They possess impact resistance, vibration resistance, and tear resistance, along with outstanding flame-retardant properties, effectively adapting to frequent ship vibrations and resisting thermal expansion and contraction. ERA marine PVC-U piping products are used in the ship's black and grey water discharge system. With a Manning roughness coefficient of only 0.009, a smooth inner wall, and strong anti-scaling properties, coupled with excellent corrosion resistance, they effectively ensure the long-term efficient operation of the drainage system.
If the "Oasis" is a benchmark for large-scale shipbuilding in Taizhou, then the "Sea Eagle Jaco" is a high-precision model of Taizhou's private sector's deep cultivation of the blue sea.
This research vessel, built with 150 million yuan raised by 37 fishermen from Wenling, is 82 meters long, 18 meters wide, has a full-load displacement of 3,500 tons, a range of 10,000 nautical miles, an endurance of over 60 days, and icebreaking capabilities in thin ice areas. It can conduct various marine scientific research operations in the open sea and polar regions. ERA marine PP-R pipe products are used in the ship's hot and cold water supply network system. Due to their high strength, corrosion resistance, and chlorine disinfection resistance, they can be used for long-term high-temperature water supply. Through scientific design and combination, they achieve hot and cold water circulation functions while withstanding system working pressure and dynamic loads, ensuring long-term pipeline stability in complex navigation environments.
From the "Oasis" to the "Sea Eagle Jiake," the sailing of these "Taizhou-made" ships on the deep blue sea is inseparable from the strong support of Taizhou's local supporting industries. ERA Group, as a representative of this sector, has enabled "Taizhou-made" products to serve "Taizhou-made" ships with its professional pipeline system solutions. This has not only reduced manufacturing costs and improved supporting efficiency but also demonstrated the positive ecosystem of "upstream and downstream linkage and coordinated development" in Taizhou's manufacturing industry. In the future, ERA Group will continue to uphold its dedication to craftsmanship and technological innovation, injecting inexhaustible momentum into the high-end and clustered development of Taizhou's shipbuilding industry, and helping more "Taizhou-made" heavy equipment to pursue their deep-sea dreams.
