⚠️ Project Challenges
Located in a desert environment, the project faces multiple technical challenges:
Extreme wind conditions with design wind speeds up to 55 m/s (ASCE 7-10)
Complex site conditions, including uneven terrain with slopes up to 10%
Hybrid solar-wind operation, requiring higher structural reliability and stability

🔧 Tonking’s Engineering Solutions
To ensure long-term performance and safety, Tonking delivered a 2P horizontal single-axis tracker system tailored to the site conditions:
PHC prestressed concrete pipe pile foundations with 1.8 m embedment depth, providing strong anchoring in desert soil
ZAM + HDG anti-corrosion protection, designed for harsh, high-wind and high-abrasion environments
2.5 m minimum panel clearance, reducing sand accumulation and improving operational safety
Terrain-adaptive tracker design, ensuring stable performance across sloped land

Engineered for desert climates and ultra-high wind loads, the tracker system delivers both structural strength and long-term reliability, supporting safe operation throughout the project lifecycle.

🔧 Step-by-Step Installation Process
1. Anchor Block Preparation
— Cast and hoist the reinforced anchor blocks into the designated locations.
2. On-Shore Bracket Installation
— Complete bracket assembly on land to ensure precision and speed.
3. Slide Columns into the Water
— Push each fully assembled column gently into the water for deployment.
4. Connect Columns with Pin Shafts
— Securely link all bracket columns using pin shafts to form a stable, integrated array.
5. Tow the Array to Position
— Tugboats guide the floating structure to its exact location with steady control.
6. Final Anchoring
— Fix the PV array with anchor ropes to complete the installation and ensure reliable long-term operation.
