Every time I arrive in a new country, I find myself looking up at the airport roof. Today was no exception.
I arrived in beautiful Bali, Indonesia, today. Whenever I visit an airport, I'm fascinated by the structural systems and architectural forms created by talented designers.
And I can't help thinking: “We could build something like this! Wouldn't it be amazing if one day we got to work on a project like this?”
From our steel structure factories in China to construction sites around the world, we've been working to bring design, manufacturing, and construction together—and show more international clients what Chinese manufacturing and engineering teams can achieve.
I know that taking part in more world-class landmark projects will require time, opportunity, and continued growth.
I hope that one day, somewhere in the world, an airport, stadium, or iconic building will stand as a project we helped bring to life.

After dozens of days and nights of hard work, the steel roof structure of this basketball arena is finally nearing completion.
This is the construction site of a large steel roof structure for a basketball arena, with the main roof system formed by tubular steel trusses. Once completed, the venue will be designed to meet the requirements of high-level professional basketball events.
Long-span steel roof systems are widely used in stadiums, arenas, airport terminals, exhibition centers, railway stations, industrial buildings, coal storage sheds, and other large public buildings. Depending on span, architectural form, loads, and functional requirements, different structural systems can be adopted, including steel structures, space frames, tubular trusses, steel trusses, gridshells, and space trusses.
For long-span sports venues in particular, the challenge is not simply spanning a large distance. Structural performance, architectural form, fabrication accuracy, and er****on requirements all have to work together.
As a steel structure manufacturer and engineering contractor, we provide an integrated service covering structural design, detailing, shop fabrication, and on-site er****on.
From lines on a drawing to a steel roof spanning an entire basketball arena—this is the result of dozens of days and nights of work.

This may be the safest this worker has ever felt at height—and perhaps the most underworked a 4,000-ton-class crane has ever been.

A lot of the money we work hard to earn eventually turns back into manufacturing equipment.
This is one of the CNC laser cutting platforms in Workshop No. 1. A large number of our steel structure connection plates, gusset plates, stiffeners, and storage tank accessories are precisely cut here.
We operate four CNC laser cutting platforms, with the largest working area measuring 4 m × 24 m and capable of cutting steel plates up to approximately 50 mm thick.
Why does a steel structure and storage tank factory keep investing in equipment like this?
The answer is simple: capacity and quality control.
When production volumes increase, equipment helps maintain efficiency. When project requirements become more demanding, it helps us maintain dimensional accuracy, cutting precision, and consistency.
Machines don’t talk, but every component coming off the cutting table reflects part of a factory’s manufacturing capability.

Another oil storage terminal under construction.
This tank farm mainly consists of fixed-roof internal floating-roof gasoline tanks and fixed-roof diesel storage tanks. Different stored products require different tank structures, sealing systems, and safety considerations.
For international projects, however, we normally do not carry out all fabrication directly at the project site. Instead, we use a factory prefabrication + overseas site er****on model.
Steel plates and components are processed in our tank factory through cutting, beveling, rolling, prefabrication, and quality inspection, then shipped to the destination country for field assembly, welding, and er****on. This combines China’s strong steel supply chain and manufacturing capacity with standardized workshop fabrication, helping reduce on-site work and overall project costs while improving fabrication accuracy and shortening the construction schedule.
I’m currently on a business trip in Malaysia, and tomorrow I’ll be heading to Indonesia. Beyond Southeast Asia, our products and projects have also reached countries and regions across Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
From engineering drawings to steel plates in our factory, and finally to a completed oil terminal thousands of kilometers away.
Perhaps this is what integrated engineering, fabrication, and construction capability really means.

Why do you often see X-shaped bracing between the columns of a steel industrial building?
This is a real construction site where workers are installing column bracing.
Although these members may not account for a large proportion of the total steel tonnage, they play an important structural role by transferring longitudinal horizontal loads, improving longitudinal stiffness, and maintaining overall structural stability.
A complete industrial steel building is much more than H-section columns, steel beams, purlins, and roof panels.
It also relies on column bracing, roof bracing, tie members, connections, and other structural components working together as one system.
As a steel structure manufacturer and contractor, we provide design, detailing, fabrication, transportation, and on-site er****on services.

Ships can‘t fly, so how do they get past a 181-meter-high dam?
The answer isn’t to lift the ship over it. Instead, the entire vessel rises with the water, climbing one level at a time. This is the five-stage ship lock at China‘s Three Gorges Dam.
The Three Gorges ship lock uses a double-lane, five-stage system. Its main section stretches 1,621 meters, while each chamber has an effective length of 280 meters and a width of 34 meters. The enormous difference in water level is divided into stages, allowing 10,000-ton-class fleets to pass the dam step by step.
We often imagine great engineering as something extremely complicated. But the basic principles behind many remarkable projects can actually be surprisingly easy to understand.
The real challenge is taking a simple idea, scaling it up, making it reliable, and keeping it working day after day.

This is definitely not an easy job.Take a look at the construction of this double-curved steel dome. The difficulty doesn’t begin on site—it starts at the design stage.
From structural design, connection detailing, and drawing breakdown, to shop fabrication involving cutting, curved-member forming, dimensional control, and connection fabrication, and finally to positioning, assembly, surveying, alignment, and extensive on-site welding, every stage is more complicated than conventional steel structures.
With a complex curved structure like this, many members have different angles, lengths, and spatial positions. A small dimensional deviation during fabrication can become a much bigger problem during er****on.
To be fair, sometimes we take on projects like this simply because we love the challenge.
For a steel structure manufacturer or contractor, it can be easier to complete several conventional steel buildings instead—more standardized fabrication and much simpler er****on.
But I genuinely enjoy taking on increasingly difficult challenges. Every time we complete something that once seemed difficult, our engineering, fabrication, and construction capabilities move one step further.

99% of people may have no idea how a 200,000 m³ LNG storage tank is actually built.
Today, let me show you the construction process of a 9% nickel steel inner tank plate—from lifting and positioning to fit-up and automatic welding.
Even a crane that normally looks massive suddenly feels like a small “construction toy” inside this enormous 200,000 m³ tank.
This type of large storage tank is known as a full-containment LNG storage tank, commonly consisting of a 9% nickel steel inner tank and a prestressed concrete outer tank. Since LNG is stored at approximately −162°C, a complete thermal insulation system is installed between the inner tank and the outer containment structure to minimize heat ingress, thereby reducing LNG evaporation and the generation of boil-off gas (BOG).
And what you’re seeing is only a small part of the entire LNG tank construction process.
For us as a storage tank manufacturer and engineering contractor, a large cryogenic storage tank involves many more stages, including drawing review, engineering detailing, material procurement, shop prefabrication, transportation, site er****on, welding, and quality inspection.
200,000 m³ is only its capacity. The real challenge is how to safely contain LNG at −162°C inside such an enormous tank for long-term operation.
