Before you design an FSR into your product, ask yourself one question:
Do you need to know how force is CHANGING — or do you need an exact, calibrated force value?
If it's the second one, an FSR is probably the wrong component. We'd rather tell you now than have you find out after tooling.
Where an FSR is genuinely the right call:
• Tracking how force changes over time, not a calibrated newton figure
• Mapping pressure distribution across an area — an actual pressure map
• Sensing "is there pressure, and roughly how much" in a soft, thin, low-cost way
• Fitting where a rigid sensor can't: ≤0.3 mm thick, actuation from 100 g,
