Improving Power Factor and Significantly Reducing Operating Costs
Power factor is a key indicator of the efficiency of the power system, which reflects the degree to which electricity is used efficiently. Many companies don't realize that by improving power factor, they save additional electricity expenses for power users. For example, a manufacturing company, through the addition of new reactive power compensation equipment, the power factor was improved from 0.63 to a state of 0.917, which meets the assessment requirements of the power supply company, avoiding fines from the power supply company and saving considerable costs.

In an electrical system, apparent power is like the whole beer (foam + liquid), and useful power is the part you can actually use (liquid). Power factor is the measure of how much power is being used effectively!

High power factor: less foam, more liquid, more efficient use of power! Low power factor: lots of foam, little liquid, lots of wasted electrical energy!

Low power factor is like ordering a glass of beer full of foam - you're paying for it and not drinking much of it! Low power factor in power systems leads to wasted energy and less efficient equipment.

AMPERSURE - Iron and steel metallurgy case: 660V AC/DC mill harmonic current management effect 🔗
🔋 A steel manufacturing company, the load type is 660V AC/DC mill, inverter mill, and other non-linear loads, the harmonic currents generated cause equipment malfunctioning, overheating of the cables, noise of the transformer, and resonance noise at the busbar. Problems.
🔻 Before treatment: harmonic currents are more than 30%, noise and resonance disturbances are abnormal, after treatment: harmonic currents are within 10%, the effect of the treatment is obvious, and noise and resonance are reduced.

🔧 Harmonic management case: 400V active filter cabinet application
🔍Industry: an automobile decoration company
📊Background: The electrical loads are mostly non-linear loads. The load harmonics are large, the capacitor damage rate in the reactive power compensation cabinet is high, and the transformer in the distribution room is very noisy.
✅Solution: Install our 400V active filter cabinet for harmonic control, the site is shown in the picture.
Before the filter cabinet was put into operation, the harmonic content of the system side was measured, in which the 3rd-13th harmonic content was high, and the measured data was shown in Table 1.
After the active filter cabinet is put into use, the harmonic content of the system side is greatly reduced, and the management effect is very obvious, as shown in Table 2.
