Exporting beauty products to Brazil? Your packaging strategy may need an update.

🇧🇷 Under Decree No. 12.688/2025, Brazil has introduced mandatory recycled-content targets for plastic packaging:

♻️ 2026: 22% PCR
♻️ 2030: 30% PCR
♻️ 2040: 40% PCR

The regulation also sets progressive plastic packaging recovery targets, increasing from 32% in 2026 to 50% by 2040. 📈Mandatory recycled-content requirements apply to manufacturers and importers, with traceability playing an important role in demonstrating compliance.
