🚀 Pioneering Breakthrough in Ultra-High-Speed Transportation!

iKonMac Technology’s SVG Systems Power the World’s First High-Speed Maglev “Flying Vehicle”

The “High-Speed Flying Vehicle” is China’s independently developed ultra-high-speed low-vacuum maglev transportation system (Datong–Yanggao section), designed for 1,000 km/h. Operating in a sealed vacuum tube, the project requires superconducting levitation and ultra-efficient power transmission.

Recently, at the 15th Middle East International Invention Exhibition in Kuwait, the project was awarded the Grand Jury Gold Medal and the Best Invention Award by IFIA, gaining global recognition for China’s research in next-generation rail transit. 🌍✨

⚡ The Challenge

At the project’s early stage, the distribution voltage fell short of the superconducting system’s startup threshold, stalling critical equipment and delaying progress.
Key difficulties included:
• Voltage insufficiency: needing a boost from 710V → 750V
• Millisecond dynamic response
• Harmonic distortion from multiple high-power devices

💡 The iKonMac Solution

Leveraging our in-house innovation, iKonMac rapidly deployed a custom power quality management system:
• 4 × SVG-300kvar cabinets
• 2 × SVG-375kvar + APF-200A hybrid cabinets

Results delivered:
1. Voltage stabilization: Bus voltage held at 750V–780V, ensuring superconducting activation.
2. Harmonic suppression: THDi reduced from 15% → 3%, safeguarding system stability.
3. Ultra-fast response: ≤10ms full-load reaction, meeting transient maglev power demands.

Following integration, the project passed a 72-hour full-load joint test in 2023, laying a solid foundation for the full system trial in August 2024. iKonMac was honored by the project team as a “Pioneer in Critical Technology Breakthroughs.” 🏅

Powering Progress in Tianjin Metro Line 10 with iKonMac AHF ⚡

We’re proud to share the success of our Active Harmonic Filter (AHF) solution in the Tianjin Metro Line 10 project — the ninth metro line in Tianjin and spanning 43.2 km with 21 stations.

🔍 Challenge:
Major loads such as lighting, VFD-driven air conditioning, and elevators were causing significant harmonic distortion, especially 3rd-order harmonics, creating safety risks through excessive neutral currents.

💡 Our Solution:
iKonMac deployed a 3200A Active Harmonic Filter system, expertly engineered to target and eliminate harmonics at the source. The result?

📉 Performance Results:
• THDi before mitigation: 60.7%
• THDi after mitigation: 5.4%

✅ The system is running stably, significantly improving power quality, minimizing line losses, and enhancing equipment reliability — earning strong recognition from the project owner.
