Six kinds of conventional but popular denim washing methods
Denim culture is popular all over the world, durable, casual and comfortable jeans have become one of the fashionable items sought after by young men and women.
At the beginning of its birth, denim, because of its wear-resistant and practical characteristics, has become one of the standard workwear of the working class.

The pretreatment of denim fabric greatly affects the characteristics of denim, and the different degrees of washing process also makes jeans have a different sense of wear, comfort and design.
Today, follow the small series together to understand the six kinds of popular washing processes.
PART1: denim washing: general washing
Add a certain detergent at the water temperature about 60°~90 ℃, after about 15 minutes of washing, add softener agent after washing by the clean water.
This practice reduces most of the fabric shrinkage, do not have to worry about shrinking after washing, but also make the denim fabric softer and more comfortable.
PART2 : denim washing: stone washing
Add a certain size of pumice stone in the washing water to polish clothes by the pumice stone, and adjust the choice of pumice stone material according to different needs.
After washing, the denim surface presents a gray feeling, creating a retro denim and make it an old look.
PART3 : denim washing: Enzyme washing
The enzyme is a cellulase.
At a certain PH value and temperature, the fiber structure is degraded by enzymes, so as to achieve mild fading of the cloth surface.
It can realize the design style of enzyme washing and the soft effect of denim fabric.
PART4: denim washing: sand washing
Sand washing usually uses alkaline oxidizing additives to make the clothes show a certain fading effect after washing.
Sometimes craftsmen will add stone grinding and softener in it, after such operation, the fabric will become soft and soft after washing, which greatly improves the comfort of denim.
PART5: denim washing: Rinsing
After ordinary washing water, heat up and add an appropriate amount of Bleaching Agent. This washing technique is called rinsing.
The rinsing process is to facilitate fading, adjust the dosage according to the depth of the bleached color, bright appearance and soft hand-feeling, which has captured the hearts of countless people.
PART6 : denim washing: snow washing
Soak the dry pumice stone with potassium permanganate solution, and polish it directly with the clothes by washing in a special rotating cylinder.
The friction between pumice stone and clothing and the chemical action of potassium permanganate can make the cloth appear irregular fading and form white spots similar to snowflakes.
