Chen Zhuang: Stay Grounded. Go the Distance.

Just over a year ago, Chen Zhuang joined Comen after university. From tentative first video calls to customer conversations across APAC, he has grown through market visits, negotiations, and daily practice.

His first real test came with a distributor who had long represented another brand. Chen listened, followed up, and earned trust over time. Last month, that trust became a meaningful first order—and the start of a new partnership.

For Chen, ideals, honour, and striving mean staying close to customers, taking pride in trust earned, and not giving up when progress takes time. Guided by leaders, mentors, and teammates, he is building his path one step at a time.

Day One at ESICM LIVES 2026: Learn, Explore, Take Part

The first day at ESICM LIVES 2026 brought lively clinical exchange to the Comen booth in Lisbon.

Visitors joined the clinical challenge, working through a critical-care scenario involving a ventilator, patient monitor and ultrasound. At the hands-on workshop, participants explored acute respiratory failure and mechanical ventilation, including ventilator setup in obstructive lung disease and practical experience with the Comen V8.

The conversation continues throughout the congress.

Anna Marsakova: From Nurse to Product Specialist — A Clinician’s Journey at Comen ⭐️

As a registered nurse, Anna used Comen patient monitors every day. She knew the equipment, trusted it, and respected it. That’s why she moved from clinical practice to a Product Specialist role with a Comen distributor, and eventually into the Comen team itself.

From Precision in Design, Focus, Motion and Delivery to precision in partnership, the Comen Golf Day 2026 brought our campaign to life in Johannesburg.

The presence of Comen Chairman Yi Yong reflected the importance Comen places on the South African market and its partners. The event also brought together influential leaders across healthcare, government, private hospitals, investment, business and distribution—including Dr Nakedi Mathews Phosa, former Premier of Mpumalanga and former ANC Treasurer-General.

Following the gala dinner announcement, Comen completed donations of six AEDs each to the Gauteng and North West Departments of Health. Provincial and health leaders welcomed the donations, while local healthcare staff had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the AEDs through hands-on demonstrations.

As Comen continues to grow its partnerships in South Africa, we look forward to working alongside local healthcare communities and contributing to a stronger future for public healthcare.
