Injection molding machine problems every day? Save this troubleshooting guide.
Short shots, flash, sink marks, bubbles, black spots…
Most molding defects are not random — they usually come from material drying, temperature, pressure, speed, cooling, or mold condition.
Here are some quick troubleshooting directions:
✔ Short shot → check drying, temperature, pressure, speed, and injection time
✔ Flash → reduce temperature/pressure, increase clamping force, check mold fitting
✔ Bubbles / voids → dry material fully, slow down injection speed, increase holding pressure
✔ Sink marks → increase holding pressure and cooling time
✔ No injection → check barrel temperature, nozzle blockage, back pressure, and screw feeding
✔ Ejection issues → extend cooling, slow down ejection, improve mold polishing
✔ Black spots → clean the barrel, lower temperature, replace contaminated material
✔ Mold opening noise → slow down mold opening speed and improve lubrication
A stable injection molding process is never based on guesswork.
It comes from correct material handling, process control, and mold condition management.
