This test was conducted to evaluate the system’s ability to control rockfall trajectories and dissipate impact energy under real slope conditions.

During the experiment, a single rock block was released from the upper slope to simulate a natural rockfall event. The guiding protection net successfully intercepted and redirected the rockfall, effectively controlling its movement path while gradually dissipating the kinetic energy through its flexible structure.

The test provides valuable field data confirming the trajectory control and energy dissipation performance of the guiding protection system in response to single rockfall events, further supporting its application in rockfall hazard mitigation on high and steep slopes.

Two years on, and the slope protection system is still doing its job — quietly, effectively, and sustainably.

During a recent visit to one of our completed sites, I was pleased to see that the active mesh we installed two years ago is still performing its intended function: stabilizing the slope and preventing rockfall. What stood out even more was how well the system has blended into the natural landscape — grasses and vegetation have grown right through the mesh, helping to restore the original ecological appearance of the hillside.

Grateful to the engineering and installation teams whose thoughtful work continues to protect both people and the environment. It’s always satisfying to see long-term performance and low environmental impact in action.
