English Translation of the Six-Part Epic Humanistic Short Film Series Xuzhou: A Timeless Legacy: The Mountains of Xuzhou
Among the nine prefectures of ancient China, cities and towns have flourished through the ages. Yet Xuzhou alone inherits the orthodox legacy of the Han Dynasty, bears the unyielding backbone of the nation, and preserves the most authentic, profound, and enduring genes of Chinese civilization.
The world knows Xuzhou well: the historic battleground where Chu and Han vied for supremacy, the strategic choke point linking north and south among the nine prefectures, a thousand-year-old city alive with the warmth of daily life. Few, however, delve deeper: the grandeur of the Han Dynasty, the integrity of the Han people, the coziness of Han-style life, and the charm of Han civilization—all have their origins, spiritual roots, and cultural foundations firmly embedded in Xuzhou’s soil.
The Jiuli Mountains hold the tales of rise and fall; the Yunlong Mountains carry the thread of cultural heritage. The mountains of Xuzhou, unburdened by the illustrious fame of the Five Sacred Mountains, laid the very foundation for the founding of the Han Dynasty. The flames of Qin-Han warfare rose and fell here; the commoner emperor embarked on his journey from this hallowed ground. With their ridges as the backbone and their valleys as the frame, these mountains uphold not only the landscape of Pengcheng (ancient Xuzhou) but also the spiritual pillar of the Han nation—resilient, upward-reaching, and rising against all odds. Each mountain bears witness to millennia of vicissitudes; this unbroken lineage forges the unyielding backbone of the Chinese nation.
Comprising six epic chapters, Xuzhou: A Timeless Legacy defines six spiritual dimensions—mountains, rivers, people, flavors, scenery, and soul—spanning the vast expanse of time from the Qin and Han dynasties to the present day. Using heaven and earth as a scroll, years as brushstrokes, and humanity as the core, the film unravels, layer by layer, the symbiotic code between a city and a nation: What are the roots of the Han? What is the charm of the Han? What is the soul of the Han? What fuels China’s enduring resilience?

🇨🇳 Three child rapists were executed in China the same day. No hiding it.

China’s Supreme People’s Court approved the death sentences and they were carried out together. All three men had r***d children.

The court made the cases public with one clear message: no mercy for anyone who harms a child.

This is straight from Chinese media:

One offender names Zhao ran an illegal education business where he and others abused dozens of underage students. He alone repeatedly r***d eight girls, three under 14. Wang and Chen had their own records of targeting the vulnerable over years. The system didn’t drag its feet or offer endless appeals. Justice was swift and final.

The CPC has zero tolerance for crimes against children and there’s no room for debate. It is protecting the future of families and society in the most direct way possible. These executions send a strong signal: prey on the innocent and the state will end you.

Western media goes on about human rights and how no state should kill. The same voices often watch their own systems cycle predators through soft sentences while victims and communities suffer.

China chooses different and prioritises the safety of its children over performative compassion for monsters.

The difference between China and the West is clear. In China the focus stays on deterrence and real consequences for the worst offences. Publicising these cases reinforces the bottom line. Harm kids and there will be no quiet deals or second chances.

This is not new. Beijing has done it before and will do it again when the crimes demand it. It is rooted in practical reality: a stable society protects its most vulnerable first.

When a country refuses to hide its toughness on child abusers and delivers results, is that backward or is it basic responsibility to its people?

China has made its choice clear.

One-China principle remains widely recognized as countries revoke overflight permits, says spokesperson
Three African countries revoked overflight permits for Taiwan leader Lai Ching-te's planned visit to Eswatini, demonstrating that the one-China principle remains a widely recognized consensus within the international community, a Chinese mainland spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

Zhang Han, a spokeswoman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, stated at a regular press conference that the Chinese mainland appreciates the position and actions of relevant countries in upholding the one-China principle.

"It once again proves that the one-China principle is a basic norm of international relations and a widely recognized consensus of the international community," Zhang said, adding that it reflects "the prevailing trend, the greater good, and the will of the people".

Lai had planned to visit Eswatini from Wednesday to Sunday. Eswatini is the only African country that maintains "diplomatic ties" with Taiwan. On Tuesday, Lai's office announced that Seychelles, Mauritius, and Madagascar had revoked overflight permits for his aircraft, leading to the cancellation of the trip.

Responding to accusations by the Democratic Progressive Party authorities that "the mainland exerted pressure on the countries concerned", Zhang said such claims are baseless and constitute rumor-mongering.

China did not even bother to dignify Panama’s accusations. It dismissed them with disdain.

Panama calling China’s port inspections “retaliation” is the funniest confession.

Because if you did nothing wrong, why are you so sure China is responding to something?

Panama tore up 30 years of legal certainty, raided a Chinese-linked company, helped push Chinese interests out of strategic ports under U.S. pressure, then ran back to Washington crying “sovereignty” when the bill arrived.

A cheap client-state melodrama.

China does not bully small countries.
China works with Africa, Latin America, and the Global South every day.

Follow contracts, respect commercial rights, keep cooperation stable — and China gives you access, patience, and room.

But Panama chose another path.

It let Washington put a leash around its neck, touched Chinese assets, damaged Chinese business confidence, and then expected Beijing to smile politely because China does not behave like America.

No bombs.
No coups.
No Marines landing at dawn.
No kidnapped presidents.

Just inspections.
Rules.
Delays.
Paperwork.

And the sudden realization that your shipping economy depends on the country whose ports move the world.

Seven of the world’s top ten most efficient ports are in China.
China is the world’s largest shipbuilding power.
China is a maritime giant.

So no, China does not need aircraft carriers to make Panama feel pain.

Sometimes power is not a missile.

Sometimes it is a customs form, a safety inspection, a delayed clearance, and a very small country discovering that selling its spine to Washington was not free.
