High-Gravity Distillation Small-Scale Experimental Unit
The rotary distillation prototype consists of multiple integrated systems, including an electrically heated ev***rator, distillation assembly, feed tank, condenser, and product collection tank. Engineered for the recovery and purification of organic solvents—such as ethanol, methanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran, dichloromethane, DMF, DMSO, toluene, isopropanol, and tert-butanol—it enables rapid extraction and purification of target products upon startup.
Distillation Principles
At its core, the unit leverages centrifugal force to enhance gas-liquid interfacial area and mass-transfer efficiency. Compared with conventional distillation equipment, it features a far more compact footprint, as intensified liquid dispersion delivers superior gas-liquid contact.
A custom-engineered rotor rotates at high speed within the housing. Liquid phase is introduced into the rotor center via the feed inlet, while v***r phase enters from the outer periphery. Inside the rotor, the counter-flowing phases form a large, continuously renewing gas-liquid interface, achieving an exceptionally high mass-transfer rate. The liquid phase is collected internally and discharged, with v***r exiting through a dedicated outlet.
