Temo Welding Advances CBAM Compliance

We recently took an important step toward CBAM readiness. On Last Week, Temo Welding welcomed a leading inspection and certification body, to conduct on-site carbon emission measurements for our products.

The visit began with a focused training session, where experts clarified key CBAM regulations and carbon accounting methods—helping our team prepare for the upcoming 2026 EU requirements.

Following the training, our team walked through our production lines. They verified equipment, material inputs, and energy data to ensure accurate, traceable carbon measurements across the entire manufacturing process.

This collaboration ensures we can provide European customers with verified carbon data for compliant CBAM declarations. It also reflects our commitment to sustainability and strengthens our competitiveness in the global market. 🤝

We are proud to announce that our self-developed nickel-based welding consumables — TMG-GZ17 (5Ni solid wire), TMS.NCM4 (9Ni SAW wire) with flux TM.SJNCM4, and TMS.N5 (5Ni SAW wire) with flux TM.SJN5 — have successfully obtained certifications from American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Bureau Veritas (BV), and Lloyd's Register (LR).

Notably, TMG-GZ17 and the 5Ni SAW wire & flux combination are the first domestically certified nickel-based welding consumables in China specifically designed for small and medium-sized LPG storage tanks and cryogenic equipment.

The certifications cover all-position welding procedures and low-temperature mechanical performance, marking a major breakthrough in high-end Ni-based welding materials and reinforcing our commitment to safe, reliable, and independently developed solutions for the industry.

Recently, Temo Welding successfully completed the on-board application of its independently developed FCB (Flux Copper Backing) SAW consumables in a major domestic shipbuilding project within CSSC.

The welding was carried out under -10°C conditions, followed by 100% MT & UT inspection after 48 hours. The results showed zero defects, excellent bead formation on both sides, and performance comparable to imported brands.

FCB consumables are core materials for high-efficiency panel welding in shipbuilding — a segment long dominated by overseas suppliers. This successful application marks another key milestone in advancing high-end domestic welding consumables and strengthening supply chain reliability for the industry.
