It is in our best interests to take good care of the robots, and ensure they are thoroughly cleaned after every project. However, it is even better to keep them clean during the project!

This picturesque image was captured during a testing project for a customer in the Oil and Gas industry.

This involved all the steps you already know: detergent water jetting to degrease the walls, surface preparation with abrasive blasting, dry ice blasting to get rid of the abrasive, lining, and finally DFT testing.

Every step is carried out using one device: JettyRobot.

An obstacle such as a metal pipe is not always so easily overcome, but we were lucky to have one near the entry point, so we could insert the robot at an angle that enabled its arms to avoid the pipe.

The contamination that you can see at the bottom of the duct is what the robot blasted off. Most of the released contamination is pushed in front of the robot and sucked out by our negative pressure unit.

Meet Brazilec, JettyRobot 6, another metal member of our technical team!

His name comes from his very first project, which took place in Brazil.

Together with Laura, Brazilec is also part of an important step in the JettyRobot family: both robots were among the first to be upgraded to our modular electronics system.

In practice, this means one shared control panel can support both robots. For our team, that makes field work simpler: less equipment to transport, more space in the van, and a cleaner setup on site.

Small engineering decisions like this may not be the most visible part of a project, but they make a real difference when the robots are working out in the field.

At JettyRobot, we do more than just build robots for our customers. We also run our own fleet of robots as part of our technical services.
Of course, we love our robots! They are the key members of our teams and despite being made of metal, cables and electronics, they have personalities - and names!

Meet Laura, the JettyRobot S, who was named by our software engineer when he first brought her to life! She was first switched on on June 1st, which is Laura's name day in Czechia.

She has been a reliable companion in 32 projects across nine different countries!

Did you know that automotive is another industry where JettyRobot helps keep production running smoothly?

This photo shows one of the ducts in an automotive paint shop. Just like in many other industrial environments, paint overspray and other airborne particles gradually build up inside the ductwork. If left untreated, these deposits can reduce the ventilation systems’s efficiency and increase the need for maintenance.

JettyRobot can clean these ducts from the inside, keeping personnel out of confined spaces while delivering consistent, documented results.

Before we start: What do we pack into the truck?

Quite a lot!

Each project requires a different combination of equipment, so no two vans are packed the same way. Depending on the application, we load robots, hoses, cables, cameras, dry ice or water jetting equipment, negative pressure units, tools, spare parts, and all the necessary safety equipment.

However, not everything travels with us. For overseas projects, it is more practical to rent some equipment locally or have it delivered directly to the site.

One thing is certain—by the time we're ready to leave, there's rarely any empty space left in the van.

What happens before the JettyRobot enters the pipe?

Quite a lot.

Long before the project begins, we often visit the site to understand the environment.

On the project day, we start with a safety briefing and a walkthrough with the customer's representatives. The crew supervisor confirms the plan, the team splits up to work on their individual tasks, and the installation begins.

Equipment is unloaded, hoses and cables are laid out, machinery is positioned, deliveries are received, and every system is carefully checked.

This preparation alone can take several hours.
Only when everything is ready—and double-checked—does JettyRobot enter the pipe.

The robot may do the work inside, but every successful project starts outside.

Every successful project begins long before we arrive on site.

Before a single piece of equipment is loaded into the van, we need to understand the customer's challenge.

What type of pipe or duct are we dealing with? What is its diameter, length, and condition? What kind of contamination is inside? Which cleaning technology is the most suitable? Is coating required afterwards? What is the environment like, and how will we access the pipeline?

Long before the project begins, we often visit the site to understand the environment, identify access points, and prepare the most suitable strategy. Good planning is the foundation of every successful project.

Once we have the answers, we can define the scope of work, prepare the project, and ensure that everything is ready before we start.

Good results don't happen by chance. They start with good planning.

Why send a person into a pipe when a robot can do the job?

Most customers contact us because they are looking for an efficient maintenance solution that saves both time and money.

Another major advantage of robotic work is that there is little to no need for people to enter confined spaces.

Pipes and ducts can be as small as 200 mm in diameter, extend for hundreds of metres, and include vertical sections, bends, changing diameters, and other obstacles. Working in such environments requires careful planning, strict safety procedures, and emergency preparedness.

JettyRobot performs the work from the inside while the operators remain safely outside, controlling every movement and monitoring the entire process in real time.

The result isn't just an efficiently cleaned or coated pipe.

It's one less reason to send someone where they don't need to be.
