Founded in 1958 Helmut Darda invented the hydraulic rock and concrete splitter and took out a worldwide patent in 1967. An innovative idea, that half-a-century ago has transformed the demolition and natural stone industries and is worldwide known. In 1998 Darda takes on the exclusive distributorship within Germany and Austria for the Swedish company Brokk AB which is the world’s leading manufacturer of advanced remote-controlled demolition robots. This successfull cooperation leads into the acquisation by Brokk AB in 2006. Since that time Darda is part of the Brokk-Group: a group consisting of a number of market leading product companies. The leadership of Darda is still on one of the the founder’s sons. Over the years, we could add more and more specialized hydraulic tools and attachments, offering state-of the art features to increase the productivity of our customers. With 2020 follows the split of the sales and exclusively agency for Brokk demolition robots towards our sister company Brokk DA GmbH to focus more on development and production. The products are designed in our own development department, as well as manufactured and finally tested in-house in Blumberg. Thus our company retains control not only over the production, but also the product itself.
