👋 Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming an international delegation organized by the Auswärtiges Amt (German Federal Foreign Office) as part of their visit through Berlin and Thuringia under the theme "Skilled Labour Migration – Migration as an Opportunity."

The group of journalists and content creators from around the world visited our electric motor production facility to learn more about how skilled labour migration and vocational training work in practice.

One story that especially reflects our experience is Roman's: after coming to Germany from Kazakhstan in 2016, he completed his vocational training at MENZEL with distinction and is now a valued member of our test field team. 👨‍🏭

Stories like his show why we believe strongly in Germany's dual vocational training system. Especially in highly specialized professions, practical experience and solid vocational education are essential for building expertise.

At the same time, we know that international recruitment and integration can bring challenges — from administrative processes to language barriers. This makes open and practical exchanges like yesterday all the more valuable.

We are proud to share that our Managing Director, Mathis Menzel, has been elected Chairman of EASA (Electrical and Mechanical Apparatus Industry Association) for the 2026–2027 term.

This is a special milestone, not only because Mathis is the first German and one of only a few Europeans ever to lead the global association, but also because it reflects a journey that started 17 years ago at his first EASA Convention.

For almost 50 years, Menzel Elektromotoren has been part of the EASA network. What began as an introduction to an industry association became a lasting connection to a global community built on trust, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.

As Chairman, Mathis will lead under the theme "Stronger Together". This is a reminder that the challenges of the future can only be solved through cooperation, innovation, and shared expertise.

🎨 A world premiere in the electric motor industry!

A coloring book from an electric motor factory? That's exactly what we created.

Most people never get to see how large industrial electric motors are manufactured. Yet these motors keep factories, infrastructure, and countless industrial processes running every day.

We wanted to make this fascinating world accessible in a completely new way. That's why we developed what is the first coloring book dedicated to electric motor manufacturing.

Based on real photographs from our production facility in Hennigsdorf, Germany, the coloring book takes children and families behind the scenes of electric motor production—from winding and machining to welding, assembly, and testing.

Why does this matter?

Because the skilled trades and technical professions that keep industry moving deserve more attention. We believe that curiosity about technology can start at any age—and sometimes all it takes is a coloring book.

One wall. Almost 100 years. Countless stories.

What started as an idea to showcase our company history turned into a fascinating journey through time.

Our conference room in Hennigsdorf now features a timeline filled with historical documents, rare photographs, and memorable milestones from nearly a century of MENZEL history.

Swipe through and you'll discover inventory lists from 1931, snapshots from company outings with the first generations of employees, and even the Federal Cross of Merit awarded to Kurt Menzel Sr.

One of our favorite discoveries was a handwritten chronicle created by Giesela Menzel for her husband Kurt on the company's 25th anniversary in 1952. Alongside personal notes and memories, she carefully preserved letters and inquiries from customers around the world – proof that MENZEL electric motors were already reaching international markets decades ago.

Looking back through these documents reminds us that every year of our history was shaped by people, ideas, courage, and a passion for building something that lasts.

And the best part? Our 100th anniversary is just around the corner.
Stay tuned – 2027 will be a very special year for MENZEL.
