Mole and Kent are both out today for qualifying and Race 1 in the Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge (YTCC) - Colmore and CSN races respectively.
Raining this morning which can make for challenging racing.
Should be fun!!

Much better weather-wise today, cold, sunny and dry.
Survived clutch issue but in the first race today Neil was tagged at the back (with slight damage) spinning him into the wall sustaining more damage on the front. So a short race for him. After a shunt at the hairpin between two Midgets after only a few laps in the second race, the safety car came out which meant an anti-climactic end to the weekend.
Great to see Baby Bertha and Mega Bertha out together today too.

At Mallory Park with Neil Duke who's racing his Ford Anglia 105E in the CSCC's Wendy Wools Anniversary Meeting.
Qualified OK this morning in the cold and pouring rain but we did lose the clutch's hydraulics. Although manageable over the weekend with bleeding out each time, the leak will need to be addressed next week. First race at 2.30pm today!

Oops! After this hiccup at Silverstone two weeks ago, we're on pole for today's race at Brands Hatch. Spent time in between stripping and cleaning the gearbox which had teeth everywhere and washing all the metal filings out of the bearings. Luckily no other apparent damage as there was no time to have the gearbox rebuilt between meetings.
Let's see what happens...

Running in a good second place in this morning's race when about half way through fourth gear broke and David had to retire the car.
Look forward to Brands Hatch in a fortnight!

First HSCC meeting of the year for pre 80s. Running David Axisa in his Tiga SC79 Sports 2000. Qualified on old worn out tyres and with new ones for the race ran 2 seconds quicker and was dicing for the lead and finishing second.
Great to be back at a meeting with all the unsilenced big muscle cars including the Lola T282 with its DFV F1 engine. Brilliant to hear the sound of that iconic engine, unlike the boring F1 cars of today!
Second race tomorrow. Hoping for a good result.

Two days at Silverstone International with Neil Duke in his Anglia. Friday testing making sure we were gremlin-free. Rebuilt engine going well and no more over-heating after winter mods. Race day in gorgeous sunshine and blue skies - qualified second in class, finished third in class in both races. Happy driver and team. Starter motor issue before the second resolved with a good old fashioned push start!
Thanks to Shaun Bescoby, our new team member, for all his help today.

We collected Neil Duke's Anglia from SHP today where it's had its engine refitted, cooling mods and slide throttle injection fitted replacing the carburettors. This work required engine bay modifications too and as you can see it's quite a squeeze!
The car is now at Race Retro all weekend (Stoneleigh Park near Warwick) on the CSCC stand in Hall 2.
