Tachowelle gerissen? Tankreichweite unklar? Drehzahl und Ganganzeige?

Eine Ganganzeige gab es nie. Drehzahl nur mechanisch über eine Welle, und auch das nur in den gehobenen Ausstattungsvarianten. Mit einem Tageskilometerzähler lässt sich endlich einigermaßen genau sagen, wie weit der Sprit noch reicht. Und der ODO-Zähler läuft weiter, auch wenn die originale Tachowelle mal wieder gerissen ist.

Das Projekt steht schon länger bei uns in der Werkstatt. Beim SIMSON-Treffen in Suhl war dann klar: Das muss jetzt fertig werden. Und wir lieben es!

Voraussetzung ist natürlich ein 12-V-Bordnetz.

Welches Modell fahrt ihr? Wir bauen die Einbaudokumentation nach echten Fahrzeugen auf, und je mehr davon wir kennen, desto sinnvoller die Reihenfolge.

Man parkt in Sichtweite. Und schaut trotzdem alle zwei Minuten hin.

Im Urlaub sucht man die Unterkunft nach der Garage aus. Ist die nicht abschließbar, fährt man weiter.

Daran haben wir die letzten Monate getüftelt. ANTON ist eine Alarmanlage mit GPS-Ortung fürs Motorrad. Wenn du gehst, bleibt er da. Wird am Motorrad hantiert, geht die Sirene los und ANTON ruft dich an, bis jemand abnimmt.

Kaufen kann man ihn noch nicht. Wir haben Prototypen gebaut und getestet, und ob er in Serie geht, hängt davon ab, wie viele Fahrer Interesse haben. Deshalb kannst du dich heute schon unverbindlich vormerken. Kostenfrei, und du erfährst als Erster, wenn wir liefern.

The DR-Z400SM leaves the factory with no tachometer and no oil pressure light. Worth a thought on this engine: the oil pump rotor vanes are a known weak spot, they wear, oil delivery drops — and the first warning is usually an expensive noise. ⚠️

Oil pressure earns its place here. It builds on a cold start, holds under load, and if it drops you get the warning while the engine's still in one piece.

The Caballero has a clean line. Be a shame to bury it under a clunky rack, so we kept ours slim.

The frame is chrome-molybdenum steel – the same stuff that goes into tubular space frames and roll cages – black powder-coated and kept thin enough to tuck into the tail without bulking it up. On top sits a brushed, anodised aluminium plate to lash your luggage to. Up to 5 kg, no registration or type approval needed.

It comes three ways: clear-anodised silver, or anodised in black or gold. Silver sits quietly against the bike, gold if you want it noticed. ✨

This video shows our CUMPAN Cockpit Assistant on a Yamaha XT 600 during a real ride.

Shown in the video:

The system operates independently from the motorcycle ECU and does not require a smartphone or app.
