Two pockets, two engravings, one custom finish. 🪵✨

Jörg built a table for his regular get-togethers and wanted to make it personal. With Olli’s help and our STEPCRAFT Q.408, we’re routing two precision-fit pockets for his club plaques and adding two engravings directly into the wood.

The finishing touch: setting the plaques flush with the tabletop. 🙌

V-carving is just satisfying to watch.

Clean contours, crisp lettering, and precise movement as the Amana Tool V-groove bit works through the masking film and into the wood.

For this wedding sign, the M.1400 first carves the lettering and graphics with an Amana Tool V-groove bit. The surrounding material is removed while the lettering remains raised, creating a crisp, defined contour around every detail. A 2 mm two-flute router bit then clears the remaining recessed areas.

By machining directly through masking film into the wood, those areas can be stained afterward while the lettering, graphics, and border retain the natural wood color.

An easy and effective method for creating clean, high-contrast results with your cnc.

Cutting data used for this project:
V-carving • 12,000 RPM • 1,800 mm/min feed rate • 6 mm depth of cut

Clearing with the 2 mm bit • 25,000 RPM • 6,000 mm/min feed rate • 6 mm depth of cut • 75% radial stepover
