Here’s what small-batch production looks like on the M.1400. 🪵⚙️

We start by routing precisely sized holes into a large wooden panel. Then, the individual rectangles are cut out creating a full batch of wooden holders for different bit attachments in one efficient process.

From one panel to an entire series of finished parts. 🔧

Here’s how we CNC-routed the wooden base for our latest LED glass sign. 🪵✨

We machined a precise slot for the glass and added a stepped recess underneath to house the LEDs cleanly.

For now, we’re only showing you the freshly machined result, the finished sign reveal is coming soon. 👀💡

One machine. Two jobs. A perfect fit. ⚙️

First, our M-Series CNC machines a custom vacuum fixture designed specifically for this project. Then, that same setup holds the brass securely in place while the machine carves the final sign.

⚙️ Machining parameters:
Spindle speed: 12,000 RPM
Feed rate: 2,000 mm/min

🪵 Stop cracks before they spread.

Butterfly keys are a time-tested woodworking technique used to reinforce cracked wood and prevent the damage from getting worse.

In this build, Tim machines the butterfly keys and a custom router template on the STEPCRAFT M.1000. Using that CNC-made template, he then routs perfectly fitting recesses with a handheld router for a clean, accurate fit every time.

Precision where it matters. Traditional craftsmanship, enhanced by CNC.

Not always. The engagement matters.

When you’re only removing material from the side, the cutter isn’t fully buried. That can save a serious amount of machining time.
