It all started with a stick of Palo Santo.

Long before PȺCU STUDIOS, it was Cyn’s own evening ritual. Then came the questions: where does this wood come from, how is it harvested, what are we really burning?

The answer was a source that gives back to nature. The most beautiful beginning we could have had.

The first Sunday of Advent is closer than it feels.

This year, start the countdown a little slower. The Advent Nook holds candlelight through the dark evenings of December, and a sprig of fir or a few dried branches by day. Made to stay, long after the last candle has burned down.

Tomorrow at 10 am, a new character joins: the Globe Calacatta Viola. One block of stone, 100 pieces.

Fourteen blocks of marble were turned down before this one. Italian Calacatta Viola from Northern Italy, violet to burgundy veining on warm ivory, chosen for what runs through the stone, not only for how it looks.

From this single block come one hundred Globes. Each one a different section of the same stone, finished by hand, with twenty openings for the smoke. When the block is gone, the edition ends. No restock.

Travertine forms in hot springs over thousands of years — minerals crystallising slowly in warm water. The result is a porous, warm-toned stone with a texture that feels alive in the hand. Every piece different, because nature never repeats itself.
