With the Frankfurt Kitchen, a new chapter in kitchen architecture began in 1926. 🤝🏼

The core idea: to consistently make everyday life in the kitchen easier.

In the decades that followed, the kitchen steadily evolved—from a separate workspace into a holistic living concept, and from plain simplicity to trend-conscious designs.

What has remained, however, is the essence of the idea: aligning design consistently with people’s needs. This simple principle continues to shape our understanding of the kitchen to this day.

Häcker is proud to partner with the 33rd Terra Wortmann Open, running June 13–21 in Halle (Westphalia)! 🎾🏆

Halle’s grass-court tournament is part of the ATP 500 series and, thanks to its spot between Roland-Garros and Wimbledon, is a marquee stop on the tour. A stellar line-up featuring Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz and Alexander Bublik helps bring the event to audiences in 150+ countries.

As one of 61 partners, Häcker will showcase the brand on site with a special event area themed “Serving Excellence – On Court & in the Kitchen.”

In 1926, Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky, the first Austrian woman to hold a degree in architecture, created the so‑called “Frankfurt Kitchen,” the first fitted kitchen. 🤝🏼

For the first time, functionality became a hallmark of quality: simplified workflows, short distances, and pared-back design. That this idea was developed by a woman was anything but a given at the time — which makes its importance today even clearer.

Mumbai, we’re open again!
In February, we celebrated the re-opening of our Häcker Küchen showroom—a significant milestone for Häcker in India. 🇮🇳🇩🇪

Thank you to the many architects and designers who joined with fresh ideas on concepts and materials, and to our guest Clara Duske, Consul at the Consulate General in Mumbai, highlighting the German–Indian partnership. Grateful for our long-standing partners who’ve represented Häcker in India for 20+ years.

Our new exhibition blends German engineering with timeless design—made in Germany, made for India.
