Kitchen Renovation Project .design

A defining milestone on this transformation.

The space is now fully plastered, painted, and today marks the arrival of the kitchen itself. Delivered directly to site by Ponnighaus. Precision-crafted, luxury cabinetry straight from the source and ready for installation.

Since our last visit, this project has evolved dramatically, the new window is fitted, the skylight is in place, and the French doors are now installed, each element carefully considered to elevate light, flow, and architectural elegance.

Before any cabinetry is installed, we always prioritise the unseen details that define true craftsmanship, including sealing every corner with expanding foam to protect the space from unwanted pests and ensure a flawless finish behind the scenes.

Every detail matters. Every layer counts.

Now the delivery wagon has arrived, and these beautifully wrapped pieces are ready to be unveiled.

Ep 3 📍 Ferryhill Kitchen Renovation ✨

Week 3: First Fix & Structural Progress

This is where the project begins to take real shape.

Lighting positions are now set, with first fix electrics complete.
Dedicated appliance circuits have been installed, alongside plumbing runs and waste connections.

Structural works to the affected wall have been fully resolved, and the new window opening is now formed, reshaping both the layout and the natural light within the space.

Floor repairs are complete, with the subfloor now installed providing a solid foundation for the final finish.

It’s a phase that often goes unnoticed, but this is where precision matters most: every cable run, pipe route, and structural adjustment is executed in line with the overall design intent.

Measured, methodical progress.
Each element aligned with the wider vision.

Not complete yet, but the transformation is now well underway.

Ep 2 📍Ferryhill Kitchen Renovation ✨

Welcome to the “it gets a little messy before it all comes together” phase 😎

week 2
This is where the real work happens behind the scenes, new electrical cables installed ⚡, retro red brick cladding removed and the whole space slowly starting to transform.
We’re opening things up with a new window cut-out, adding a new double doors, upgrading the roof and skylight and repairing damaged flooring. A lot going on !

It might look like chaos right now… but it’s all part of the journey.
None of this happens alone. This stage is all about teamwork. Different hands, different skills, all coming together to build something bigger 🤝
