🤝 Bilfinger signs agreement for FEED Phase-1 Consultancy Services for Shinas Marine Fuels & Oil Terminals SPC (SMFOT) in Oman.

✍️ The symbolic signing ceremony took place at the Gulf Green Mobility Forum in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman, and in the presence of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and H.E. Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. Muntaser Al Hashimi, Sales Director Middle East, represented Bilfinger at the event.

The SMFOT project supports the development of a modern marine fuels facility at the Port of Shinas – strategically positioned to support Oman's maritime growth and economic diversification. ⚓ A key element is the Desulphurization Unit, which contributes to cleaner marine fuels, supporting regional efforts to reduce emissions and promote more sustainable maritime operations.

Through the (Front-End Engineering Design) Phase 1 Study, Bilfinger will provide its and expertise to establish the technical and commercial framework for this important energy transition initiative.

📍🌍 This contract marks another milestone in Bilfinger's growing presence in the Middle East.

📢 Bilfinger Responds to Continued Geopolitical Uncertainty

In the current third quarter, we’ve seen business performance considerably below expectations due to increasing investment restraint and postponements on the customer side. Lasting longer than expected, the continued war in the Middle East is a major driver of this development.

Bilfinger thus adjusts its outlook for 2026 and takes proactive, targeted steps with the launch of Program Agile, which is rolled out across the worldwide organization. The program focuses on continued pooling of resources, adapting capacities more flexibly to changing market conditions, and establishing a global shared services organization – measures which are already part of the strategy and are now being prioritized.

Our mid-term targets for 2030 are confirmed. ✅

Experiencing the industry of tomorrow: Segment Presidents visit Bilfinger in Frankfurt 🤝

How can innovative technologies be successfully transferred from the pilot scale to industrial practice? This question was the focus of the visit by our Segment Presidents Thierry Burki (Central Europe), Sandy Bonner (Western Europe), and Ahmed Al-Dadah (International) to the Bilfinger Frankfurt Höchst site. 🏭

Our Frankfurt expert teams showcased advanced technologies and services supporting more efficient industrial operations. These included digital field communication using -APL and , modular plant concepts based on , and -compliant pharmaceutical and validation projects.

A current restoration project following fire damage also demonstrated our capabilities in carrying out complex plant and piping work safely while operation continues on site.

Precision Work in : Major Contract for Weir System in Austria 🌊

Our teams specialized in rotating equipment services and hydropower will be responsible for the comprehensive overhaul and modernization of the weir gates in Tiroler Wasserkraft AG’s hydropower plant in Runserau, Austria. 🚩

Our strong partnership has lasted for decades – we’re happy to extend it and to be entrusted with this challenging large-scale endeavor in the field of steel hydraulic engineering. 🤝

👉 Technical highlights:

➡️Impressive dimensions: Each of the new weir gates weighs around 79 metric tons and measures an impressive 14.1 meters in width and 10.6 meters in height.

➡️Total weight: The contracted scope of delivery weighs in at a total of approximately 195 metric tons.

➡️Everything from a single source: Our scope of services ranges from engineering and prefabrication to installation and commissioning, including all electrical, instrumentation and control technology.

Installation will take place in three phases starting in November 2027 while the plant remains in operation. Due to the enormous dead weight of the components and the challenging on-site conditions, a 650-metric-ton mobile crane will be used for the lifts. This will require millimeter-level precision from our installation team! 🎯 🏗️

We have been selected to deliver technical advisory services during the ex*****on phase of an offshore wind project in the Polish Baltic Sea for Ocean Winds. 🌊🤝

It involves the installation of 26 wind turbines with a total planned capacity up to 390 MW. Once completed, the wind farm will contribute significantly to renewable energy generation and support Poland’s transition towards a more sustainable energy mix. 🔄️🔋

💬 Bartlomiej Bil (Bilfinger): "This is an important milestone for us. Over the past months, we have supported the client on the onshore part of the project. Being chosen to support the delivery of the offshore work shows the trust the client has in our team and confirms our strong cooperation."

Bilfinger will oversee key offshore construction activities, suporting Ocean Winds in the supervision of turbines installation, offshore structures, and export cable installation, as well as ensuring compliance with technical requirements, permits, and applicable regulations. Responsibilities also include maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. 🎯

The development is expected to supply electricity to almost half a million Polish households, strengthening the country’s energy independence and reducing carbon emissions.
