6 years ago today that I completed the installation of BDM No7 at just imagine how many miles of profile she's seen over the last 6 years? And she's still going as strong as ever!!! Happy BDM Birthday No7 🎂 🥳 🎉

More strings added to the bow this past week at Schirmer Maschinen GmbH And yet another manufacturer based training course added to the skills list.

I have been very impressed by Schirmer Maschinen GmbH and their range of machinery and training!!! Great guys and gals and very forthcoming with information and training, building on my knowledge of BDM machinery it has been extremely easy to take on this extra information and I now feel fully confident when putting it to practical use.

Thank you Atul Patel and Kevin Noray for giving me this opportunity I promise it will be put to good use and hope we can all help each other out

And that's a wrap 13 days from start to finish BDM number 5 at Anglian Home Improvements in Norwich fully installed, commissioned and all new Anglian profiles programmed and tested!!! No further training needed as they already have another 4 of these bad boys!

Some long days and plenty of hours spent getting this across the line, I think next time I may need an extra pair of hands as spending probably the first 3 or 4 days on my hands and knees has had me walking around like an old man!!!

But still it's in and its done!!! New service contract in place to keep all 5 BDM's running it tiptop condish 👌🏼

Whilst everyone seems to be having fun and networking at some of us have been cracking on with installations. 🥵

Day 2 progress on the BDM Install down at Anglian Home Improvements, broke the back of it today, majority of the machine is leveled, aligned and bolted down and after a couple of loonng days the cabinet is 70% wired!!!

Another long day ahead tomorrow and hopefully I'll be in a position to start building the acoustic cabinet!!! not bad at all to say this installation has been done singlehandedly although I think I shall be sleeping all weekend 😴

And just like that another BDM FTB-100P Cutting and machining center singlehandedly decommissioned, loaded and on its way to its new home!!!

Reinstallation will commence next week where the machine will be rebuild, recommissioned and reprogrammed to run the new owners full range of profiles!!! A few busy weeks ahead!!!

Well, it's time to have a look at the machinery for a but, it's always nice to get my hands on something new!!! I must admit it's very similar to one of it's other German cousins, the BDM FTB-100P which i know like the back of my hand, both of which are cracking machines, a couple more weeks having a play with this one, and I'll have them down.

Ahh back in the day!!! 9 years ago today since I took the might of the Safestyle I.T. department out to BDM in Germany to give them some on the machine training before their BDM FTB-100P Cutting and Machining center arrived on site the following month. Awesome trip out with two of the best 🙌🏽 Paul Jagger and Andy Cadman

A couple of long days and night were had that week.

Been looking after this GRAF Synergy Srl STB CAT500 Fab-Notch for 15 years now giving it 2 services per year and its still ploughing along!!! Great to see a well looked after machine that's no doubt paid for itself a few times over by now.
