Cycle 4 STEM - Germany 2024

Cycle 4 STEM - Germany 2024 Cycle for STEM Germany is a bike ride of 230+ km that raises money and awareness for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.

Cycle for STEM is the AFCEA Educational Foundation’s signature fundraising event. It is a non-competitive biking adventure that follows the "Bike Trail\Path Link" (Link will be available by July 11th). The majority of the route (Bonn to Mannheim) will take place on the Rhine Cycle Route (http://www.rhinecycleroute.eu/). Proceeds benefit the AFCEA Educational Foundation to fund scholarships for edu

cators and students in these fields. This event has occurred in the United States of America in the past and will now occur for the first time in Germany! The event is also about camaraderie, and it's a whole lot of fun—as you'll see on this blog. Come follow our adventures then join us. On Behalf of Cycle 4 STEM, I hope you will consider joining in this year's ride.

We plan to push off from BernKastel-Kues along the Mosel River from 18 July - 20 July 2025. The ride is at least 150 miles broken out into three days at a rather leisurely pace. This year's ride will differ from previous years as we embark on a new route promising beautiful views while we cruise along the Mosel. Families are invited to stay at the campsite, we can work out those logistics later. Military personnel are eligible for PTDY status without being charged any leave. Our Chapter President can provide each rider with an MFR as requested.

Riders are asked to raise at least $250. This helps cover the food, camping, and other fees associated with the ride.

Finally, we are looking for volunteers on the committee to split the workload and put this together. If you would like to volunteer, feel free to reach out to me. Thank you again and hope to hear from you soon.
