Vores nye frontstøtteben er blevet et populært valg blandt vores kunder. 💪

Efter ferien står 6 komplette sæt klar til levering til forskellige kunder, som har valgt ikke at gå på kompromis med deres opbygning.

Derfor har de valgt en fuldforstærket løsning kombineret med et kraftigt 50 tons frontstøtteben – en løsning udviklet til opgaver, hvor stabilitet, styrke og driftssikkerhed er afgørende.

Our new front stabilizer leg has become a popular choice among our customers. 💪

After the summer holidays, 6 complete sets are ready for delivery to different customers who have chosen not to compromise on their truck build.

Big crane or small - we calculate them all.

Engineering involvement isn’t always visible from the outside.

Sometimes it’s the front stabiliser.

Here we have the front stabiliser designed by Stensbo – engineered to withstand design loads of up to 50 tonnes.

But it’s not just about how much load the system can handle.

It’s about how those forces are transferred throughout the entire vehicle – because every lift places enormous demands on the truck structure.

A standard truck chassis was never designed to act as the foundation for a high-capacity loader crane on its own. That’s where engineering becomes critical.

And what about the situations you can’t predict – such as ground settlement beneath an outrigger?

We’d rather not find out the hard way.

That’s why Stensbo analyses force transfer under the most demanding operating scenarios, allowing targeted reinforcement exactly where it’s needed. The result is a structure capable of safely managing those forces while adding as little weight as possible.

It’s a bit like wearing a seatbelt.

You don’t wear one expecting an accident.

You wear it because if something unexpected happens, you’ll be glad it’s there.

You see the crane moving.
You see the load.

But you don’t see the forces moving through the build.

Every lift creates a chain of reactions - from the crane base, through the chassis reinforcement and into the stabiliser system.

The further the lift moves into a demanding position, the more important the integrity of the complete installation becomes.

The crane provides the lifting capacity.
The reinforced chassis provides the structural base.
The front stabiliser extends the support where stability becomes critical.

None of this is the most visible part of the lift.

But engineering is rarely about what attracts your attention.

It’s about understanding the forces, calculating the possibilities and creating a solution that gives the operator silent confidence when the crane goes to work.

Nogle gange handler produktudvikling ikke om at opfinde noget helt nyt – men om at gøre noget godt endnu bedre.

Vores 50 tons frontstøtteben har været en velafprøvet løsning i mange år. Men gennem dialog med kunderne og vores egne erfaringer gennem mere end 10 år har vi set muligheder for forbedringer.

Resultatet er en opdateret version med flere gennemtænkte detaljer, en stærkere konstruktion på en række områder og en mere komplet løsning – uden at gå på kompromis med det, der allerede fungerede godt.

Det nye design er udviklet med fokus på det, der betyder mest i hverdagen: stabilitet, holdbarhed og beskyttelse af chassiset under krævende løfteopgaver. Samtidig er konstruktionen optimeret, så der kan spares tid både ved montage og service.

Tak til de kunder, der løbende deler erfaringer og input med os. Det er ofte i den dialog, de bedste forbedringer opstår.

Det nye design er desuden blevet brugsmodelbeskyttet, så vi kan værne om de unikke løsninger, vi har udviklet gennem årene.

De første er allerede monteret hos vores kunder på Volvo opbygninger, og efter sommerferien kommer en opdateret version til Scania.

Sometimes product development is not about inventing something completely new – but about making something good even better.

Our 50-ton front outrigger has been a proven solution for many years. However, through ongoing dialogue with our customers and our own experience gained over more than 10 years, we identified opportunities for improvement.

The result is an updated version with several well-thought-out details, a stronger design in a number of areas, and a more complete solution – without compromising what was already working well.

The new design has been developed with a focus on what matters most in daily operations: stability, durability, and protection of the chassis during demanding lifting tasks. At the same time, the construction has been optimized to save time during both installation and service.

A big thank you to the customers who continuously share their experiences and feedback with us. It is often through this dialogue that the best improvements are made.

The new design has also been granted utility model protection, allowing us to safeguard the unique solutions we have developed over the years.

The first units have already been installed for our customers on Volvo truck builds, and after the summer holidays, an updated version for Scania will be introduced as well.

I torsdag var der åbent hus hos Hymatik ApS som vi bl.a. køber fittings hos.
Ud over en faglig snak med Jesper Haas om hydraulik, var der også tid til en hyggelig snak med Mads K Racing om racerløb og netværk
Tak for en hyggelig time med grillpølser og gode snakke :-)

Bra Bärighet 2026 – Halmstad 🇸🇪

Today STENSBO visited Bra Bärighet to study Swedish crane truck builds and different front stabiliser solutions.

It is always valuable to see how various bodybuilders and crane manufacturers approach integration, load distribution and structural solutions in practice. There are many ways to solve the same challenge – and the details make the difference.

We had good technical discussions, exchanged experience and established several new contacts that we will follow up on in the coming weeks.

We also had a good talk with Craneformers, who are doing a great job bringing together and highlighting interesting developments within the truck-mounted crane industry.

A productive day focused on practical engineering and real working solutions.

Endnu en Scania leveret til en kunde, som allerede har flere biler kørende med vores frontstøtteben – et samarbejde vi er både stolte af og taknemmelige for.

Disse biler er udstyret med STENSBO’s 50 tons frontstøtteben, hvor chassiset er fuldforstærket under førerhuset, så de maksimale 50 ton kan optages sikkert og effektivt.

Løsningen er udviklet i tæt samarbejde med Scania’s ingeniører for at sikre maksimal styrke, stabilitet og driftssikkerhed i det daglige arbejde.

Another Scania delivered to a customer who already operates several trucks equipped with our front stabilizer systems – a cooperation we truly value and appreciate.

Theese trucks is fitted with STENSBO’s 50-ton front stabilizers, featuring a fully reinforced chassis beneath the cab to safely and efficiently absorb the maximum 50-ton load.

The solution has been developed in close cooperation with Scania’s engineers to ensure maximum strength, stability, and operational reliability in daily use.
